A new treatment combining, in a single pill, four drugs intended for people suffering from hypertension. According to the Servier laboratory, which presented, Saturday, in plenary session of the congress of the European Society of Cardiology, the results of a study on its innovation, this is a world first, which significantly reduces « significant systolic pressure taken in the office ».
With this innovation, Servier hopes to improve patient compliance with their treatment. A major challenge: according to the World Health Organization (WHO), 50% of people treated for hypertension do not take their medication correctly, which leads to complications. However, 5% to 10% of patients suffering from this condition need to take four medications per day.
