Spectacular fire in a hotel in , 300m² went up in smoke, the roof completely destroyed

Thanks to rapid intervention by emergency services, the fire has since been brought under control. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The hotel closed until further notice

As soon as the alert was given, nine people occupying the hotel rooms were evacuated before emergency services arrived. They were taken care of by the town hall, which set up a temporary rehousing system. This evacuation prevented any injuries, although the fire spread very quickly in the establishment. Three lances, including one mounted on an aerial ladder, were necessary to control the flames and stop their progression.

The fire brigade intervention required a large-scale deployment, mobilizing 31 firefighters. However, the impact on the hotel structure is considerable. Following this incident, it was declared closed. It will now remain closed until further notice.

At the scene of the incident, the sub-prefect as well as the mayor of were present to follow the progress of the intervention and provide support to the local authorities and the victims. This event highlights the importance of security measures in establishments open to the public and the responsiveness of emergency services to emergency situations. Please note that the causes of the incident remain unknown at this time.

Urrugne: A house fire devastates a residential house

At the same time, firefighters intervened on the evening of Wednesday, December 25 in the town of Urrugne for a fire which ravaged a residential house. After reconnaissance on the scene, it was noted that the fire affected a house with an area of ​​160 m². The flames threatened the structure, but thanks to the rapid and effective intervention of the emergency services, the disaster was brought under control.
No rehousing was necessary for this intervention, the occupants of the house could be taken care of without requiring emergency support.
