Quinté+ at Chantilly – Prix de Pierrefonds: Saint Etienne on form

As is often the case on the PSF, the race is quite open and we will have to count on a good race progress. Having just returned to success, Saint Etienne (6) will try to take advantage of his form to repeat, especially since he will be helped by a good number on the rope (2, editor's note). However, he will not have the easy part against Spendino (1), back in the handicaps in 41.5 value and who should be at 100% of his means after having raced twice after a few months without having seen a racecourse. Remaining on two good performances at this level, Celestin (8) has the means to strive for success if he repeats what he has just shown. Competitive at this level of competition and author of a good comeback, Coves (3), despite an unfavorable string number (16, editor's note) can finish in the winning combination of the quinté, just like Tilila (14), who appreciates the PSF, but who has never been able to finish with a number outside in the stalls. For places, we will then count on Central Park West (2), well placed on the rope, on the regular Gimanzor (11), despite his rope number outside (the 14th, editor's note) and on Ganass (7), penalized by weight for his success at this level in Fontainebleau and who can happily return to the PSF.

100% Quinté: Splendino, Grégory Joly’s favorite

Our journalist Grégory Joly analyzed this event in our show 100% Quinté. Here is his selection:

SHINE (1): “This class competitor has just raced twice in . Benefiting from a lowered value and now having two races in his legs after a break, he can win.”

Celestine (8) : “He has just performed very well at this level of competition. A little early in his career, his new mentor has found the buttons with him and, based on what he has just shown in his last two attempts, he can fight for success.

CALAS (3) : “He has a 75% success rate on the Chantilly PSF. He will have to start from stall 16, but Jérémy Moisan gets along well with him and he is capable of finishing in the winning combination of this quinté.”

CENTRAL PARK WEST (2) : “He excels on the PSF of Chantilly, since in six attempts on this course and he has five podiums and a fourth place. Even if his room for maneuver is limited, he should run well, especially since he is well placed at the rope.”

SAINT ETIENNE (6) : “He has just shown a clear upturn in form recently in Deauville. Penalized for this success, he is now at 38.5 value, but he has already performed well at this value in the past.”
