Palworld just received its biggest update, titled Feybreak. This brings a series of exciting new features, including a collaboration with the famous game Terraria. This highly anticipated update had an immediate impact, once again attracting a crowd of players and propelling Palworld to its highest number of concurrent players on Steam since June of this year.
Palworld had seen a drop in its number of players. Although the game continued to be popular, the average number of players had dropped to around 15,000 by November. Since then, the numbers have been yo-yoing. After a decline in May and June, followed by a slight increase in July, the figures had continued to decline.
However, this latest update seems to have given the game a second life. Last night, according to SteamDB, Palworld reached an impressive peak of 134,747 concurrent players. A record since June 1, when the number of players approached 143,000. Certainly, we are far from the enormous initial peak where the game exceeded two million players but it is a positive sign for the developers of Pocket Pair.
Content added with Feybreak is not limited to collaboration with Terraria. This free update introduces a new island, new allies, including dangerous creatures, as well as more resources and an increased level cap. In short, a lot of content to discover.
It is important to note that despite the magnitude of the world and the possibilities of Palworldthe developers have no plans for a second installment. However, with such enthusiasm surrounding the latest update, the future of the game seems promising.
