This morning of Tuesday, December 24, upon waking up, Loïc Hénaff, CEO of the Hénaff company in Pouldreuzic, noticed that he had received a telephone message during the night, around three in the morning. He consults his answering machine: the on-call agent tells him that the fire-fighting system was triggered during the night in an area of the factory, above a cold room, outside the production line , spraying the affected area with water for about half an hour.
Loïc Hénaff is not alarmed: “The voice of the on-call officer was reassuring, he told me that no trace of fire had been noted and that it was obviously a malfunction of the anti-fire system. » The CEO goes to the site and actually finds that everything is in order, the fire system must have been triggered for no reason.
Loïc Hénaff philosopher
On social networks, he quips: “We came close to disaster! » A message to be taken rather with humor, with the idea of playing down the drama. “This type of malfunction can happen from time to time, it’s part of the life of a company. But obviously it always has to happen at the wrong time. There, on Christmas Eve, with a good number of employees on vacation, they must be wondering what could have happened! »
Obviously, it is preferable to notice a malfunction in this sense: it is better for the fire extinguishing system to activate for no reason, rather than for it not to activate in the event of a fire. “This is the first time this has happened to us, we don’t know why the system was triggered unexpectedly. We will do research, check the settings and provide feedback! »
