Firefighters fought throughout the night to put out the fire. It was 10:11 p.m., Monday December 23, 2024, when they were alerted for a violent fire having broken out in a pavilion on rue Van-Gogh, in Persan (Val-d'Oise).
When they arrived, the occupants had left the house which was totally on fireTHE flames having started to spread to an adjoining house. Significant resources were mobilized by the Val-d'Oise departmental fire and rescue service. Nine machines and almost 30 firefighters intervened throughout the intervention. The latter deployed four lances including one on the large ladder to contain the flames and contain the fire which ravaged the pavilion.
The roof of the neighboring house having been partly destroyed, the firefighters carried out its tarpaulin before leaving the premises around 8 a.m.
While the origin of the incident remains to be determined, no serious injuries have been reported. The emergency services having taken care of ten victims, one of them, a 27-year-old woman, was taken urgently to the Conti clinic, in L'Isle-Adam.
