His name could have appeared on the “Walk of Fame”: Burt, the crocodile star of the film Crocodile Dundee (1986), died “peacefully”, Saturday December 21, 2024, at the Australian zoo Crocosaurus Cove (Darwin) which had housed him since 2008, reports BFMTV. Its keepers estimate that the reptile was “over 90 years old”.

In a long tribute posted on Instagram, the zoo emphasizes that Burt was a “truly unique” specimen: “He was not just a crocodile, he was a force of nature that embodied power and majesty of these incredible creatures.
Independent – he was a “confirmed bachelor” – Burt displayed a “sometimes difficult personality, but this is also what made him famous and earned him the love of those who worked with him and by the thousands of people who have visited him over the years,” adds the establishment.
