The Sytral Mobilités union committee validated the acquisition of 47 articulated buses running on natural gas. Delivery planned for 2026.
After ending the acquisition of diesel buses on January 1, 2020, Sytral Mobilités continues to invest in buses running on natural gas. On December 19, the union committee validated the purchase of 47 new articulated buses. Representing an investment of 25 million euros, the order will be placed directly with UGAP and will relate to the acquisition of Iveco Urbanway.
Expected from May 2026, these vehicles will circulate on the TCL network. They will replace aging buses, including 45 in service for 15 to 17 years, as well as two destroyed during a fire in Rillieux-la-Pape on November 1. These buses will be assigned to the Audibert depots, currently being adapted to accommodate vehicles running on CNG.
