Third fire in a month in Noyon

Should we see a sinister law of series or a simple coincidence? This Sunday, a fire broke out in the garage of a house located on Boulevard de Tarlefesse in Noyon. The alert was quickly given and firefighters from the Noyon, Guiscard and Thourotte emergency centers intervened shortly before 10 a.m. this Sunday morning to put out the flames.

The owners of the premises, a retired couple, were not injured by the fire or poisoned by the smoke. They were able to be rehoused with their families, to avoid having to stay in their house affected by a fire, the causes of which are not yet known.

Two precedents, one of which was fatal

There is obviously no connection between this fire and previous fires but it must be noted that in this matter, fate has been hitting the residents of Noyon in recent weeks.

Last Sunday, November 17, it was in an apartment on the 3rd floor of a building in the Reservoirs district that a fire broke out. The effective intervention of the firefighters made it possible to rescue a person trapped by the flames and limit the human toll to two people inconvenienced by the smoke.

The consequences, however, will be much heavier a few days later, on Wednesday November 27, when the firefighters this time were unable to do anything to save a 66-year-old man. The fire broke out in the caravan occupied by the sixty-year-old, located on land opposite the church in the Tarlefesse district. The man had died in the explosion of the caravan caused by the flames.
