“Anyone who attempts to destroy anything in our country, no matter how small, will face much greater destruction in their own country and will regret what they tried to do to our country.”launched Russian President Vladimir Putin, during an official ceremony this Sunday, December 22, commenting on the drone attack carried out the day before in Kazan which Russia attributes to kyiv.

The Kremlin master has already threatened several times in recent weeks to strike the center of the Ukrainian capital using the Orechnik missile, used for the first time in November. In addition, according to AFP, the Russian army's almost continuous air strikes have brought the Ukrainian energy system to its knees, forcing the country to undergo regular power cuts in the middle of winter.

On Saturday December 21, buildings in Kazan, in central Russia, were targeted by drone attacks, which did not cause any casualties according to local authorities. Ukraine has not commented on this attack, nor on the Russian accusations. Nevertheless, kyiv regularly carries out strikes in Russia, often against oil or industrial targets, in response to Russian air attacks and the military invasion launched by Moscow against its territory almost three years ago.
