indictment of two men suspected of having beaten to death a banditry figure

Two men were indicted on Friday December 20 in the judicial investigation opened for murder by an organized gang, of which a man known in Parisian banditry was the victim on November 20 in , AFP learned from a judicial source.

“As part of the judicial investigation opened, on November 29, 2024, into the charge of murder by an organized gang, committed on November 20, two individuals, born in 1991 and 1993, were arrested and placed in police custody”specified the judicial source, confirming information from the Parisian . “The investigating magistrate indicted them. One of them was placed in pre-trial detention, the other under judicial supervision.announced this source.

The victim, aged 47 and born in Algeria, had been identified as Mounir C., known to the courts, the Paris prosecutor's office indicated on November 20. According to The Parisianone of the two men would be the one who strangled Mounir C., while the other would have driven a vehicle which would have been used in the attack.

The attack took place at night, rue des Amandiers in the 20th arrondissement, in the east of the capital. Shortly after midnight, Mounir C. was found by firefighters in cardio-respiratory arrest. The Criminal Brigade had been charged with the investigations by the public prosecutor.
