Who to succeed Lou Jeanmonnot?
Just last week, Lou Jeanmonnot won in the pursuit of Hochfilzen. A full race, with 20 out of 20 and a very good ski time. A victory with more than 30 seconds ahead of her runner-up, Vanessa Voigt. It will probably not be the Jurassian at the top of the podium this Saturday in Haute-Savoie, but another Frenchwoman could take up the torch (and the red bib).
A few moments after the Blues' double podium during the pursuit, the ladies enter the track in Grand-Bornand. Justine Braisaz-Bouchet will be the first to start thanks to her victory in the sprint. The Savoyarde has finally settled this season and directly obtains a victory. Behind her, you will have to be wary of Franziska Preuss and the former cross-country skier Anamarija Lampic, who will start just behind her.
Regarding the other French women, Julia Simon is in a situation that she loves. 7th, she is a chaser for this race. Jeanne Richard starts in 12th position and will have her card to play this Saturday. Lou Jeamonnot, Océane Michelon and Sophie Chauveau will have to concentrate on their comebacks, they who did not finish in the 30 best during the sprint. The chase kicks off at 2:45 p.m.
