DECRYPTION – The new agreement negotiated between Health Insurance and doctors comes into force on December 22, with an increase in consultation prices, in exchange for compensation such as reductions in prescriptions.
Discussions were not always easy between Medicare and the liberal doctors' unions, but they managed to reach an agreement. Six months after its signature in June, the new medical agreement for the period 2024-2029 partly entered into force this Sunday, December 22, with a batch of new measures aimed at “consolidate private medicine and improve access to care”, in the words of Health Insurance. These result in particular in significant increases in the prices of certain consultations.
Most of the prices will change in two stages. The consultation with the general practitioner is now 30€ (compared to 26.5€ previously) and several specialties “whose income is the lowest” benefit from revaluations aimed at “restore their attractiveness”specifies Health Insurance.
