It was a little after 1 a.m. when the alert was given to the Departmental fire and rescue service of Haute-Garonne. On the night of Thursday December 19 to Friday December 20, a fire broke out in a house from avenue Georges Brassens in Sainte-Foy-d’Aigrefeuille.

The disaster spread from the part of this isolated dwelling housing a 50 m garage². « Two fire hoses have been establishedmaking it possible to stop the spread to the rest of the house and to extinguish the fire”, specify the firefighters.

Five vehicles mobilized including a truck with ladder

In total, 20 fire soldiers from the barracks of Caraman et Ramonville Buchens were dispatched to the site. Two ton pump vans et a truck equipped with a large pivoting ladder were notably deployed on the scene.

“And stripping the roof and false ceilingas well as a control using a thermal camera were necessary”, informs the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service about this intervention which mobilized five machines.

The couple living there taken care of by Samu

The firefighters specify that the couple living there had left the house even before emergency services arrived on the scene. These two people aged around fifty were quickly taken care of by the Samu who gave them a health check. They were then able to return to the part of their house adjoining the garage.

Finally, let us emphasize that teams ofEnedis and of GRDF were present on the scene during this intervention, as well as a patrol of gendarmerie.
