Thursday evening, the Diamant audience was invited to attend the recording of various shows from the ÀTTV channel (aka À Tempo TV) which set up its stage on the theater stage until December 29.
The director’s assistant (Marie-Michelle Pharand) informs the spectators of the evening’s progress, because we need their participation! They will mainly have to offer the reactions requested by the signs that this funny assistant will brandish.

Although she is a little awkward, she is the perfect assistant for this director (François-Guillaume Leblanc) who, beneath his cold and haughty exterior, turns out to be just as crazy.
This terribly effective duo makes us fall in love with clown art again! And Geneviève Kérouac’s direction leaves time and space for their humor to unfold and reach its target, as when we observe the assistant awkwardly installing the director’s chair.
The latter is a true mime master! Before filming a new episode, François-Guillaume Leblanc replays the previous episode alone for the greatest pleasure of the audience: his physical performance is impressive!

The first show filmed was one about superheroes. And on this set, the actors do their own stunts and the technicians don’t need a ladder to change a light bulb. In fact, when they use a ladder, it’s balancing on a cable.
Clearly, acrobats must be prized stage technicians! At times, they perform without the slightest effort, and on other occasions, they act bumbling to entertain the audience and highlight the dangerousness of their act.

These scene transitions are just as interesting as the filming itself. During these filming breaks, an actor and a technician will amaze the audience, and their female colleagues, with their handling of a soccer ball.
In their different roles, the actors demonstrate their strength as well as their agility. While filming an episode of Tarzanwe see one of them standing horizontally on a pole while another acrobat stands on his side.

The assistant will also have her moment of glory. We find her at the helm of a dubious cooking show with two actors whom she dresses as a butterfly and a bee to serve as her assistants. Lifted by cables, they perform some juggling acts in addition to making the audience laugh.
Music also has an important place in this show filled with humor. In a cabin installed on stage to serve as a control room, there are several instruments which will be used, among other things, to produce live sound effects for the scenes being shot. Dance is also included in this creation anchored in the 1960s.
Even if humor is in the spotlight, we are treated to some more poetic moments, notably through the budding love story between a technician and an actress.
At this time of year when we run to the shops and Christmas dinners, we appreciate even more the rhythm ofAction! which allows us to sit down and have a good laugh, without forgetting to impress us with his acrobatics.
Action! is presented at Le Diamant from December 19 to 29, 2024.
