Mutual health insurance will increase from next year
In France from 2025, the prices of mutual health insurance will increase, according to an announcement from Mutualité française, which represents complementary health insurance with mutual status. In 2024, Mutualité and other mutual families had already applied record increases, reaching +8.1%, after an increase of 4.7% in 2023 and 3.4% in 2022. Over the previous ten years , LThe average annual increase was 2.6%.
The aging of the population, access to new treatments and medical technologies, as well as better recognition of health professions are the main factors explaining the trend towards increase in mutual insurance contributions, as notified by the French Mutuality.
