They found their cars charred. At the end of October 2024, two educators from the US Colomiers football club, near Toulouse, were victims of arson. A month and a half later, three suspects were indicted. One of them is a family man, a local figure in the world of boxing. Suspected of being the instigator, he denies the facts, but was nevertheless placed in pre-trial detention.
Since his custody, this father has denied any involvement in these fires. “This story is not about himreaffirms his lawyer, Me Pierre Le Bonjour. It wasn’t the place, everyone agrees.“

The man, a local figure in the world of boxing, is suspected of being the sponsor. A kind of little revenge because his son wasn’t allowed a lot of playing time.”He was able to complain, a year ago, about the management of the football club’s teams. But he never had an altercation or argument with any of the coaches who saw their car charred“, affirms the lawyer. A sponsor? This thesis leaves Me Pierre Le Bonjour, somewhat doubtful. “He would probably have been motivated to settle the story in a more direct way than by setting fire to a car.“

The two other suspects indicted? One is a friend. The other, who admitted to being the arsonist, is the one who implicates the father of the family in this affair. “He doesn’t know him at all, he doesn’t know who he is“, assures the client of Me Le Bonjour.
The suspected father is known to the courts. It’s true, his lawyer admits. “But it was a long time ago, and this is the first time he’s been in custody“, tells us Mr. Pierre Le Bonjour. Perhaps this played a role in the decision to send him to sleep in prison when a request for a deferred debate before the judge of freedoms and detention was filed?
Postponing the discussion on pre-trial detention is a right. And Me Le Bonjour made the request, Wednesday December 18 in the evening, after the indictment of his client. “Firstly because it was late. Then, I understood, without it being official, that a fourth character would have been arrested“, the lawyer tells us. There could therefore be material for new elements to verify or add to the file.
The appointment set with the judge of freedoms and detention has been set for this Friday, 2:30 p.m. In addition to the father of the family, the man he knows was also placed in pre-trial detention. The third man, the one who allegedly admitted to the fire of the vehicles, was placed under judicial supervision.
