Gas distribution problem: Agil CEO reassures Tunisians
With the onset of intense cold, the demand for gas for heating increased, putting pressure on the distribution network.
Although disruptions have occurred in some regions, notably in the northwest, officials have assured that the gas crisis will not be serious. Measures have been taken to ensure smooth supply.
Khaled Bettine, CEO of the National Oil Distribution Company (AGIL), confirmed that efforts are underway to improve distribution, in particular by continuing the maintenance of stations and ensuring the proper functioning of contracts with local suppliers and international. He also stressed that coordination with other gas producing companies aims to fill distribution gaps in a flexible manner, especially in areas facing difficulties.
Bettine added that the company ensures that emergency situations are handled quickly and efficiently, ensuring that there are no major cuts in gas supplies. He clarified that, in the event of a delay in distribution, measures will be taken to reduce the impact and ensure that the gas reaches citizens without significant delay.
Despite the challenges, the CEO reassured citizens that the situation is under control and there is no significant crisis. He confirmed that repair and maintenance operations are continuing, with increased efforts to ensure the stability of supply in all Tunisian regions.
