The tensions surrounding this Basketball Champions League match between Nanterre 92 and Hapoël Holon had been known for several days. In recent days, the city of Nanterre had issued a municipal decree to decree the closed session to avoid possible excesses. But the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture opposed this decision, asking the Cergy-Pontoise administrative court to annul it.
