: the match between and Hapoel Holon briefly interrupted by pro-Palestinian activists

The tensions surrounding this Champions League match between 92 and Hapoël Holon had been known for several days. After a legal imbroglio between the city and the prefecture, the meeting took place in the presence of spectators this Tuesday evening at the Maurice-Thorez sports center in Nanterre. All this despite calls for boycotts and demonstrations. And after a first period without incident to report, the second act was the scene of the start of violence.

Pro-Palestinian activists first interrupted the match by running onto the floor. Returning to the stands, they were then attacked by Israeli supporters, according to images filmed by several spectators. A scuffle therefore took place before the intervention of the CRS present to secure the meeting. After a few minutes, the match was able to resume, ending with the victory of Nanterre (87-77).

In recent days, the city of Nanterre had issued a municipal decree to decree the closed session to avoid possible excesses. But the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture opposed this decision, asking the - administrative court to annul it.
