Yes, Aziz Ghali is free to express himself. He used and even abused this right without ever worrying, let alone worrying. A specialist in the empty half of the glass, “broken hopes” and “failed dreams”, he persists in thinking that nothing is going well, that we, ultimately, are just care bears, fans of the all-hug, the cuddle… so be it!

However, can Mr. Ghali allow himself, in the name of this sacrosanct right to freedom of expression, to insult the memory of our martyrs who fell for their homeland, to offend the orphan and the widow, to disrespect their mourning, spit on the sacrifices of our families for their first national cause?

Yes, Mr. Ghali can express himself as he wishes but this must not harm others. However, it was an immense outrage that he brought to his compatriots. By taking up the slogan of “the self-determination of the Sahrawi people”, whose number is equivalent to the population of a single Casablanca district, not only is Mr. Ghali going against the position of his country and of the overwhelming majority of UN member countries which clearly support the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty, has undoubtedly placed itself on the side of the enemy party which has also made the most of its recent nonsense.

Coming from a military dictatorship, Olympic champion of repression, this is obviously not a compliment for Mr. Ghali who claims to defend human rights.

Always “piss”, we’re interested in you!
