If this FF7 Remake update seems to mainly target PC players in preparation for the release of Rebirth on this platform on January 23, it is also deployed on PS5. This patch will in any case allow everyone to literally speedrunner the first opus, with two new features in this sense.

This allows you to start the game with very high level characters and equipped accordingly, both in terms of weapons and accessories. The second functionality also allows you to reach the credits of the first part more quickly while waiting for Rebirth on PC, and possibly FF7 Remake 3 on PS5, or even PS6 (if it will indeed be a console exclusive when it is released in the next few years). years). Soberly named “ Fast forward », it allows you to watch the cutscenes 1.5 to 2 times faster, without having to skip them, if that interests you.
