Biars-sur-Cère. It’s Wednesday, a day of celebration and entertainment at the cultural center

The Robert-Doisneau Cauvaldor social and cultural center in Biars-sur-Cère is organizing its first Christmas market this Wednesday, December 18, in the center parking lot, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be creative workshops, Christmas sweater competitions, wooden games, pancakes and hot drinks… a great day of celebration ahead!

To start this Christmas market, the center is offering a free show at 10 a.m. for children aged 6 and up, presented by the company Les Cailloux brûlés: “Les Contes du verre”. These stories for all ears told by Cécile Demaison, will take the public on a discovery of Christmas stories from the other side of the world (duration 50 minutes, upon registration at 05 65 38 03 79).

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to see an exhibition of creations from workshops run by volunteers throughout the year. Creations will be put on sale in a creators’ market at the Robert-Doisneau center, with gift ideas 100% made by participants in the basketry, cardboard, cardmaking, watercolor, crochet and patchwork workshops.

There will also be, without prior registration, free workshops such as: a workshop designing decorations to put on the tree led by Isabelle, and a creative workshop led by Alice. Not to be missed at 4 p.m., the moment told with Élodie in the media library!

The family service will offer pancakes for sale for €2 and a free hot chocolate!

The creations will surely make you want to participate in the workshops offered by the center. They take place all year round upon registration, on specific days and times. Do not hesitate to inquire at the reception of the Robert-Doisneau center or on the quarterly calendar. The cardboard workshop is led by Colette Delphin, the watercolor by Annick Laloy, the basketry by Mireille and Jim Prescott, the crochet workshop by Corinne. Other workshops take place but without creations to sell, such as gentle yoga with Isabelle Gontier, the genealogy workshop with Jean-Claude Mazot and the Architexte workshop.
