The alleged perpetrator of the punitive expedition which left five people dead in Dunkirk has been indicted for three assassinations and two murders. Aged 22, the suspect himself went to the police. He had around twenty firearms in his home. Update on the investigation.
The profile of Paul D. stuns the investigators. Why would the 22-year-old young man, with no criminal or psychiatric history, have traveled miles to commit five murders before surrendering to the police? Paul D. then traveled 30 km to kill two security guards from a company that employed the young man for a few months, a year and a half earlier. For the three victims, Paul D. is indicted for murder, suspected of having premeditated these first murders. He then shot dead two migrants on the side of the road, then left to go to the gendarmerie in his village of Ghyvelde (North), where he was very cooperative with the investigators.
