Monday was cross country day at college

A word. Cross of George Sand College in Avord.. It was in a dynamic and sunny atmosphere that the George-Sand college cross country took place on Monday. Three hundred and thirty schoolchildren took to the start, joined by one hundred and forty schoolchildren from Avord, Farges-en-Septaine, Baugy, Savigny-en-Septaine and Villabon for a sporty and friendly afternoon.

Faithful to a now well-established tradition, George Sand College has once again opened its doors to local schoolchildren, thus confirming its strong commitment to interdegree liaison.

The objective? Allow future middle school students to familiarize themselves with their future environment and build relationships with older students, all in a good-natured and sporting spirit.

The young people, divided into several age categories, set off on adapted routes through the wooded park made available by the municipality.

Encouragement, laughter and surpassing oneself were there, offering a delightful spectacle.

Beyond performance, it was the team spirit and the pleasure of sharing a sporting moment together that stood out during this day coordinated by Élodie Fantin and Martin Verchery, PE teachers. It was made possible thanks to the investment of staff, the mobilization of schools and the support of the municipal services of the city of Avord.
