Syli wins, Bouba’s Presidency saved…for the moment! – Guineefoot

ABDIJAN- The Syli National finished the 4th day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers, with a nice and precious victory which protects it from too much uncertainty about its future in this course. By dominating their double confrontation with Ethiopia, Michel Dussuyer’s foals are relaunching themselves in the competition.

But not only that. They also convey the image of a ghost who has learned from his mistakes even if there are still enough things to correct. In particular the lack of concentration, dynamism and rhythm. These are defects which seriously expose the Guinean tricolor to all risks, when facing a team of a higher level than that of Ethiopia.

But there is no point in emphasizing these significant imperfections in these moments of joy. No one willing to hear them. As a maxim says, in euphoria, criticism, although objective, is inaudible. For now, it’s time to celebrate these victories. Public opinion is extremely happy about it. And that’s the most important thing. Especially since it is true that the team succeeded in its mission. It is also a fundamental mission accomplished by the Guinean Federation or rather for its president, Bouba Sampil. The latter was so concerned about it that his fate depended on it, as we wrote on the eve of the first match. Moreover, aware of the particular significance that this double confrontation had for him, he had deployed major means to transport a large number of journalists and supporters. So much the better.

And finally, these efforts paid off. Maybe.

What is certain is that he has found serenity. Bravo to him. Except that the threat is only delayed. Because his adversaries in the Federation are not giving up. They are even more surly than usual. While their President is at the head of a delegation to Abidjan on behalf of the CAN 2025 qualifying matches that Syli was preparing to play, significant members of the executive committee published yet another letter once again criticizing the management at the federation.

The rebels reiterate their disapproval of the way in which affairs are conducted under the rule of the former president of the ASK. One more ball at the feet of Aboubacar Dinah Sampil, which is added to the complaint brought against him before the Ethics Commission for breach of the Code of Ethics. A sword of Damocles still hanging above the head of the all-powerful boss of Féguifoot, who, however, after victory, gains a little respite. Euphoria helps.
