The automobile sector is experiencing a big slowdown with sales of new cars at half mast and electric cars not sufficiently democratized. The president of the Automobile Club des Hauts-de- gives us his analysis of the situation.

Electric atmosphere in the automobile sector, gathered at the 90th motor show in : sales of new cars have seen their worst figures in the last twenty years in France, the government intends to impose a penalty on the purchase of cars polluting, and sales of electric cars are struggling to take off. What future does the individual car have in these conditions? Answers from the president of the Automobile Club des Hauts-de-France, Marc Jeansou.

Car prices, maintenance prices“: Marc Jeansou sees very simple reasons for the fall in sales of new cars, while the second-hand market is holding up. He therefore has a message to parliamentarians who will look into the penalty desired by the government for any purchase of polluting thermal cars, in its draft budget: “it would be better for the penalty not to be too inflated if they want to revive the automobile market“.
