Whether the scene takes place between two grills of a fast food restaurant, behind a bank counter, or in the shed of a luxury store, “the customer is king,” managers constantly tell their teams. Gone are the days when the term customer meant a person who entrusted their interests to a lawyer. Unfriendly, worrying or simply crazy, employees confide their most bizarre experiences with customers. Today, Anna, 21, resurrects the memory of a customer ready to pour out her hatred on social networks.

“Summer 2022, I am 19 years old and work in an artisanal bar-restaurant-brasserie right in front of a ferry terminal in Brittany. We open early in the morning for people who work. In the afternoon, it is more coffee and families returning from the beach. In the evening, family restaurant and friends, with boom boom party from 10 p.m. It is a good atmosphere, waiters and customers dance together.

“In the middle of July, the electricity starts acting up. Every day, when you arrive at work, the game is to guess what’s broken. The bar fridge? The brewery tank that holds 3,000 liters of beer?
