Father killed in La Crau: “Anthony was a very nice boy, not violent, especially with women”

“It’s a terrible tragedy. All his family, his friends, are in an impossible state.” A little more than three days after the death of Anthony M. killed by a stab wound to the chest (his girlfriend was indicted for murder of a spouse) on the night of Friday to Saturday in his mobile home from the Pinédou campsite to La Crau, his loved ones still don't understand.

And do not digest the information and comments that have flourished here and there on the networks regarding the personality of this 27-year-old child from La Crau, father of a little girl aged two and a half and a great fan of pétanque, that he practiced regularly. “It’s a tragedy, he didn’t deserve this, no one deserves this, insists her cousin Inès. He was a very, very nice boy, never violent, especially with women. He gave everything he could.”

“He was no longer like before”

And to continue: “He had a little girl, and despite the separation from the mother, things always went well, there was never any violence. I know two of his exes, he never touched them, adds Inès. He worked in construction, every morning he walked to the city center, a 20-minute walk, so that his colleague could pick him up to go to work. But since he was with her (the author of the stabbing, editor’s note.) for a few months – he was no longer like before, he had stopped everything, he sank.”

But not enough to imagine arriving at this terrible evening of December 20 which went wrong. “It's horrible. To be stabbed like that is unimaginable. We don't know exactly how it happened, why, but there is no reason to do this.”
