Lyon strikes a major blow by winning on the gong against UBB

-

On the 2nd day, Lyon overturned UBB in a match full of twists and turns (28-26). LOU temporarily takes the lead in the standings.

Lyon received two out of two! After the success gleaned at the opening of the championship in Montpellier, LOU confirmed its renewal by winning against UBB this Saturday evening at Gerland (28-26). From the start, the Lyonnais had set the tempo thanks to the 10th try in 10 Top 14 matches by a certain Baptiste Couilloud (9th).

LOU provisionally leader

In a hard-fought match, the two teams responded blow for blow. Millet (21st) for Lyon scored his team’s second try before the Bordelo-Bèglais responded with two goals from Gazzotti (31st) and Tapuai (34th). Saghinadze, in force (42nd) and Berdeu, on foot, thought they had given their team the victory but a final try from Penaud changed everything. But that was without counting on a final penalty from Berdeu on the gong to give Lyon the victory.
