A fire broke out this Monday, December 23 in the morning in a villa in the 13th arrondissement of Marseille. It was barely five o'clock when the flames burst into a path in the Château-Gombert district, indicate the Marseille firefighters, contacted by France 3 Provence-Alpes.
When they arrived a few minutes after the alert, the firefighters discovered that the fire had already spread and had invaded the roof of the accommodation of approximately 100 m². Upon entering the building, they then found the lifeless body of an 80-year-old woman. In cardiac arrest, she was declared dead by SMUR doctors.
Thirty-five firefighters were mobilized for this operation. An investigation was opened by the police to determine the circumstances of this fatal fire.
