The Ho Chi Minh City International Martial Arts Festival takes its marks
The Ho Chi Minh City International Martial Arts Festival 2024 opened on Saturday, December 21 with the theme “The Pride of Vietnamese Martial Arts – International Integration”.

In his opening speech, Nguyen Van Dung, vice chairman of the Municipal People's Committee, stressed that this is a special event not only to honor the tradition of Vietnamese martial arts, but also to provide a platform trains martial artists from different countries to share and present the essence of global martial arts.
The three-day festival welcomes martial arts delegations from across Vietnam, as well as international teams from the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and the Philippines .
It aims to honor the cultural values and essence of Vietnamese martial arts, particularly the Vietnamese martial art vovinam, and wrestling, while promoting traditional martial arts from other countries, including taekwondo, karate and muay thai with visitors.
Present at the event, alongside 47 South Korean fighters and coaches, Kim Kyu Jig, secretary general of the International Martial Arts Center for Youth Development and Engagement (ICM), said learning and The exploration of martial arts not only allows practitioners to improve their physical health, strengthen their will, determination and martial spirit, but also to cultivate and improve their personal qualities and ethics, and to preserve and develop cultural heritage and national spirit.
As part of the festival, scientific seminars on martial arts, specialized workshops with in-depth training in such types of martial arts as taekyon, hapkido and muay thai, as well as a photo exhibition are also organized .
