The Riviera capital attracts! According to the latest figures published by INSEE this Thursday, December 19, 2024, Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) is still gaining residents for reach 353,701 Nice residents as of January 1, 2022.

This is more than in 2021, when the city had 351,011 residents.

Nice still stands out as the fifth city in France, ahead of Nantes and behind Toulouse. INSEE has just published, this Thursday, December 19, 2024, its population figures in all municipalities as of January 1, 2022.

While the Riviera capital had 351,011 inhabitants in 2021, the number of Nice residents increased to 353,701. So, 2,690 additional people have chosen Nice as their place of residence, between 2021 and 2022. The population increased on average by 0.53% between 2016 and 2022.

However, the town hall announced 356,603 inhabitants

In a press release sent this Tuesday, the City of Nice announced yet 356,603 inhabitants on January 1, 2022, putting forward the figure of 5,592 more Nice residents in one year. Asked by news Nicethe services have not yet been able to provide more details regarding this difference.

For its part, Paris, the largest city in France, has 2,113,705 inhabitants. Its population decreased by approximately 0.59% between 2016 and 2022.
