The “plan for victory” presented on October 16 before the deputies of the Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament, by Volodymyr Zelensky did, obviously, not go unnoticed in Moscow, where he triggered a wave of reactions, from the Kremlin to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via the official media. The vast majority of Russian commentators say, “not surprised” of its content. According to them, the proposals set out on Wednesday by the Ukrainian president roughly correspond to what they have been able to read so far thanks to the “leaks” published in the Western press.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov only saw this as confirmation that the Americans intend to continue waging a proxy war against Russia. “until the last of the Ukrainians”, according to the established expression of Russian propaganda. “We have been talking about some kind of peace plan for several weeks,” he commented. “This is most likely the same plan as the Americans, which is to fight us to the last Ukrainian, and which Zelensky came out with as a peace plan,” he continued, quoted by the economic newspaper Knowledge.
