From March 2025, Malaysia Airlines will launch direct flights between Paris and Kuala Lumpur, a convenient connection for travelers that will facilitate trade between Europe and Southeast Asia.

Have you missed Malaysian hospitality and its impeccable service? After several years of absence, Malaysia Airlines is returning to Paris with direct flights to Kuala Lumpur starting in March 2025. Four weekly flights will quickly evolve into daily flights, providing a strategic connection between Europe and Southeast Asia.

A strategic return for Malaysia Airlines

For the carrier, this return to Paris is part of an expansion strategy on the European market. This connection, suspended for several years, reflects the company’s desire to win back international passengers. It marks a decisive step, supported by the arrival of new wide-body aircraft, including the Airbus A350-900 which will be used on this route. Capable of accommodating up to 286 passengers, this aircraft stands out for its comfort, in particular with its 4 luxurious business suites, 35 business class seats, 27 premium economy class seats and 220 standard economy class seats.

Beyond Kuala Lumpur, this direct flight positions Malaysia Airlines as a bridge to Southeast Asia. With 66 possible connections, the company easily connects the major cities of Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and even Australia or New Zealand. An invitation to escape, which is aimed as much at lovers of pristine beaches as at adventurers in search of lush jungles.

Adapted timetables and attractive prices

The company will initially operate four weekly departures, before increasing to daily flights from March 30, 2025.

In terms of timetables, Malaysia Airlines has opted for ranges that optimize international connections. The flight MH020 will leave Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:25 a.m. for arrival in Kuala Lumpur at 6:10 a.m. (local time) the following morning. The return flight, MH021will take off from Kuala Lumpur at 11:40 a.m., arriving in Paris at 6:40 a.m. (local time) the following morning. This schedule of four weekly flights, scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, will increase to one daily flight from March 30.

To mark this new milestone, Malaysia Airlines is offering rather attractive launch fares. Until October 6, 2024, round-trip tickets between Paris and Kuala Lumpur are available from €889 including tax. With this return to the Parisian scene, Malaysia Airlines intends to once again become a key player for journeys between Europe and Asia.
