France discovered her in 2002, at just 20 years old, on the small screen. 22 years ago, Nolwenn Leroy won the second season of Star Academy. After her triumph in this TV talent show, the young woman, originally from Finistère, would record several very successful singles such as Broken, Should we, should we not? or even Michao’s Mare.
Through her music, the singer asserts her Breton roots, of which she is proud. But her origins from the West of France will undoubtedly also serve her well for her new experience. The forty-year-old is launching into comedy by playing the lead role in the new police mini-series on TF1,Broceliande (named after the famous Breton forest).
In this program, to be found from Monday, September 16 on La Une, the new actress will play the role of a biologist looking for evidence on the disappearance of her best friend that occurred 20 years earlier. In addition to Nolwenn Leroy, viewers will be able to find other celebrities more accustomed to the small screen, such as Marie-Anne Chazel or Lorànt Deutsch. “It was a pressure at the beginning (to play with them, editor’s note), it became a masterclass for me to interact with them”explains the interpreter of Brokenin the columns of TV Star.
