After a seven-year absence from the recording world, the group Indochine is making its big comeback with “Babel Babel”, its 14th studio album in 40 years of career.

An album committed to Indochina

“It’s an album of struggle and full of hope”says Nicola Sirkis, the charismatic leader of Indochine, in an exclusive interview with Le Parisien. With “Babel Babel“, the group does not hesitate to tackle hot topics, from the war in Ukraine to feminist movements and criticism of populism.

The first single, “The Song of the Swans”sets the tone. Inspired by Iranian women, it calls for resistance and hope.Be strong, be even stronger”sings Nicola Sirkis.

A cleverly orchestrated return for the cult group

To mark its big comeback, Indochine, which was not invited to the Olympics, set up a real media treasure hunt. For months, the group dropped clues, piquing the curiosity of fans and the media. The highlight of this campaign was a private concert organized in the greatest secrecy, which 300 lucky people were able to attend.

“We have the luxury of being able to do it. Because the public is always there,” explains Nicola Sirkis
