Back to school time has arrived! And of course, at this time of year, many shows take advantage of it to make their big comeback on our screens. Moreover, this Wednesday, September 4, season 11 of “Patron Incognito” returned to M6. In this new episode, it was the turn of Thibaut Bayart, president of Chronodrive, a pioneering drive-through company in France, to dress up to explore the backstage of his company.

This approach allowed him to reconnect with the very essence of his profession, having joined the company 20 years ago, at a time when the concept was still innovative. Founded in 2004, Chronodrive was integrated into the Auchan group in 2015 and experienced a real boom with the pandemic, which deeply anchored the drive in household purchasing habits.

In this new episode, Thibaut Bayart has become Steeve, a former restaurateur who is looking to retrain. He wants, supposedly, to open a franchise of the brand in Aix-en-Provence. To do this, he is making a report for M6, which explains the presence of cameras on the site. During his “mission”, Thibaut, alias Steeve, therefore met Camille, the manager, as well as Mathieu, a delivery coordinator to give him some tips on the different trades.

Upon discovering this new issue of “Patron Incognito”, Internet users expressed their disappointment. Indeed, subscribers to X, the former Twitter, do not hold back from criticizing the show on the Web, which they consider increasingly predictable and not very credible. Many point out the unconvincing aspect of the bosses’ makeovers, who look the same from one episode to the next, and the lack of reaction from employees to the presence of cameras. Some even wonder how the participants do not immediately realize that they are being filmed for this show, finding it absurd that the concept continues to deceive anyone.

“Patron Incognito” is also seen as a simple communication operation for the participating companies, rather than a real immersion. It must be said that for Internet users, employees are no longer fooled and easily recognize the bosses under their disguises. Many therefore deplore a lack of “authenticity” on the part of the M6 ​​show, after eleven seasons.
