Stephane is arrested!
Michael considers selling the hotel after Kenny’s numerous attacks. Stephane Miller arrives and asks for a room. Michael tells him that the hotel is now closed. Stephane explains that all the hotels in the area are full, and Michael finally agrees to let him sleep for one night.
Meanwhile, Damien, Sara and Martin discover from an aging photo that it is Stéphane Duquenne, who would be about fifty years old today. He had been placed by social services in the summer of 1991, when Chloé and the Ferays were shooting their film, because his father had killed his mother with a firearm on August 17, 1991, the date engraved on the axe. Father Duquenne died in prison five years earlier.
Chloe and Michael think about a possible connection to Stéphane Duquenne, but they don’t know who he is. When they rewatch the movie, they notice that at the end, the mysterious Kenny left a message indicating that horror movies always have a sequel.
Timothée and Roxane are analyzing the movie Soleil Noir when Sara reveals to them that Stéphane Duquenne changed his name at 18, taking his mother’s name: Miller. Sara shows Timothée a photo of Stéphane Miller, and Timothée recognizes the man because his father had planned to buy a boat from this man.
Chloé receives a wanted poster with Stéphane’s photo. When he comes to ask her for a towel, he understands that she knows who he is. He confides in her that with Soleil Noir, they destroyed his life. He tries to attack her, but Chloé stabs him in the ribs with a fork. Stéphane breaks a glass bottle on Michaël’s head, who had come to help Chloé, then goes looking for Alex’s wife.
Chloe, hiding in a closet, calls the police to come and rescue her. Stéphane looks for her in the hotel. Chloe comes out of the closet, and a fight begins between them. Just before he gets his gun back, Chloe hits him on the head with a teapot, knocking him unconscious.
The police question Stéphane, who reveals that the last scene of Soleil Noir was filmed by Chloé, Alex and Albane in front of the hotel. They had filmed his mother with her lover in the background. When his father saw the film, he noticed this detail, which led him to kill his wife. Stéphane declares that he does not regret anything and that he did not kill Ariane. He simply wanted to make them…
