A young Swiss footballer dies drowned in Spain

Passing through Alicante with his FC Granges-Paccot teammates, a Haut-Valaisan was found lifeless after a nightclub evening.
At the exit with his Friborg Football club in Alicante (Spain), a young Haut-Valaisan of 24, domiciled in Guin (FR), drowned in the port of the city, confirmed the DFAE following information in particular from Valais media. The thesis of the accident is favored by the investigators.
According to Spanish police, quoted by the local press, the lifeless body of the young Croato-Suisse was drafted by divers of the Civil Guarda on Monday evening. Contacted, Tuesday morning by Keystone-ATS, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAE) confirms the death.
His teammates gave the alert
