BLS announces an investment program of 2.1 billion dirhams to strengthen logistics in Morocco


Buildings & Logistic Services (BLS) has announced today the launch of the second tranche of the LKHYAYTA HUB logistics platform, which will extend over an area of ​​33,000 m².

This inauguration was marked by the presence of the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh. During this press conference held in Casablanca, BLS unveiled an ambitious investment program amounting to 2.1 billion dirhams, planned for the years 2025 and 2026. This plan aims to strengthen the national logistics infrastructure and to support the economic dynamics of the country.

This program includes the acquisition and construction of twelve logistics platforms distributed through several Moroccan cities, with the aim of reaching a total capacity of 500,000 pallet positions. Ultimately, this initiative should generate the creation of 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in the Supply Chain professions.

Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of BLS, formalized this commitment by sending a letter of intent to Ghassan El Mechrafi, Managing Director of the Moroccan Logistics Development Agency (AMDL). This letter confirms the company’s desire to deploy its program throughout the national territory. Among the projects announced are the extension of the Lkhyayta Hub platform to more than 50,000 m², the acquisition of a 60,000 m² logistics site in Casablanca and the construction of a platform of 15,000 m² on a field of 200 000 m² in Mohammedia. Two new platforms will also be born in Tangier, totaling 30,000 m², while other infrastructure will be developed in Kenitra, Meknès, Tétouan and Marrakech on an overall area of ​​30,000 m².

This strategic program also includes the construction of an additional 100,000 m² as part of the Multi-Flux Massification Program of the AMDL. Thanks to these investments, BLS aims to double its logistics capacities to reach a million square meters of assets under management and to expand its presence at 34 sites distributed in 19 Moroccan cities.

Cheick-Oumar Sylla, IFC regional director for North Africa and the Horn of Africa, praised this initiative by stressing the importance of strategic partnerships to stimulate sustainable growth. He recalled that support for leading companies like BLS contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of the sector, positioning Morocco as a regional hub of trade and logistics and to create new jobs.
