Four suspects arrested for the assassination of an undocumented migrant in Anderlecht, the alleged shooter is still on the run
The last hour learns to good sources that four suspects were arrested and placed under arrest warrant on January 21, as part of the investigation into the assassination of an undocumented migrant, rue du Douvres in Anderlecht, December 22, 2024.
As a reminder, around 8:45 p.m. that evening, a man got off a vehicle with a weapon of war according to the testimony of a local resident. The suspect fired in front of a cafe located just in front of the Aumale metro station, a district that was the scene of numerous shootings against the backdrop of a territorial war between drug traffickers last year.
Two people have been reached. One of them did not survive when the second, it would be collateral damage. Residents have tried to help the victims until the arrival of help on the spot, in particular by applying a cardiac massage unfortunately in vain for the first victim quoted above, as we can see on videos shot by members of the neighborhood (these images can be shocking, editor’s note).
The suspect fled aboard the Audi A4 which was parked not far from there, rue Sébastopol. According to our sources, the driver of this vehicle is among the suspects arrested last January. Said vehicle would also have been burnt down the same evening. The man who would have built fire to the car would also be part of the arrest warrants awarded by the investigating judge in charge of the file.
“Cleaning”
As for the last two suspects currently under the locks, they would have participated in the location on the spot as well as in the “cleaning” of the crime scene. To understand that they would have recovered the weapon abandoned by the shooter and potentially picked up the sockets, before themselves fleeing.

Asked, the Brussels prosecutor’s office was unable to answer our questions immediately.
Federal police (PJF) had launched a research notice at the end of December to identify the suspects but also the victim. “”The man would be homeless and could have attended various centers or shelters for the homeless. The circumstances surrounding this umpteenth shooting in Anderlecht have not leaked at this stage. By counting it, the authorities quoted the number of shooting incidents in the Brussels region at 89 over the entire year 2024. Nine deaths were deplored as well as 48 injured. The Aumale district appears on the list of sixteen hotspots in the Brussels Region, the sales points of the strips of dealers which would garner the most profit and to which the authorities pay particular attention.
