SNCB: a train line will be cancelled for two weekends

IThere will be no trains between Lichtervelde and Roeselare for two weekends. SNCB and Infrabel announced this on Thursday. These are the weekends of 31 August and 7 September. Work will be carried out on the tracks during this period. Furthermore, SNCB indicates on its website that the IC Bruges – Lichtervelde – Kortrijk trains will not run on these dates.

The last weekend in August and the first weekend in September, the tracks between Lichtervelde and Roeselare will be renewed. Infrabel will also maintain the points. In addition, a drainage pipe will be placed in the ground to better drain rainwater. Due to the works, there will be no train traffic between the two stations during both weekends.

SNCB is deploying replacement buses during both weekends, with stops at Lichtervelde and Roeselare stations. The railway company advises travellers to consult the route planner. This takes into account the adaptation of the rail and indicates the departure of the replacement buses.
