Singer and actress Jane Birkin has died at the age of 76. She had recently shared health issues that forced her to cancel concerts. Jane Birkin loved Brittany, she often came to relax in her house in Lannilis, in northern Finistère.
Singer and actress Jane Birkin has died aged 76e Sunday, July 16, 2023. She was found dead at her home in Paris. She loved Brittany. She had bought a house there, about thirty years ago.
It was to be closer to the rocks of her father, David Birkin, that Jane Birkin had taken root in Lannilis, in Finistère. During the war, this Navy officer approached these coasts to exfiltrate British and American airmen collected by the families of Breton resistance fighters.
The house she had bought was close to one of the three sites where her father’s ashes were scattered and her stops there were regular.

On May 26, the cancellation of its Parisian dates in June, as well as its presence at the next summer festivals, was announced in a press release from its press service.

In March, the singer had already canceled concerts following a fracture. The Paris Olympia concert had been postponed to June 17 and that of La Cigale to June 22.
She was supposed to perform at TNB in Rennes next January with Oh ! sorry you were sleeping…co-directed by Étienne Daho and Jean-Louis Piérot.
