Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard have an appointment in the Alps

The day after a first explanation at the Grand Colombier, two days in the Alps await the Tour riders still in the race. And once again, Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard, the two big favorites of this 110th edition of the Grande Boucle, are expected to do battle in Morzine but also in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc on Sunday. On the occasion of the second rest day (Monday), the Alps will have said a lot more about the general classification. As to know who will be in the yellow jersey at the end of these two Alpine stages? The question has been asked and it is up to the riders to answer it.

On the side of profile and route of the day’s stage, these are five listed climbs that the runners will have to climb. From the start, the peloton and the breakaways will be caught up in the rapid ascent of the Col de Saxel (4.2km at 4.6%) classified in 3rd category, immediately followed by Col de Cou (7km at 7.4%) and the Col du Feu (5.8km at 7.8%), both classified in 1st category. At this precise moment of the race, the runners will still have almost a hundred kilometers to cover. The last two difficulties of the day will also be the longest and most difficult to survey with first at kilometer 101.6 the summit of the Col de la Ramaz (13.9km at 7.1%) followed at kilometer 139.8 of the final ascent of the Col de Joux Plane (11.6km at 8.5%) categorized as an off-category. At the top of this final difficulty of the day, all that will remain is for the participants to descend at full speed 12 kilometers towards the finish line.
