Zurich: Taylor Swift sold out in 30 minutes

No less than 95,000 tickets for the Taylor Swift concert in Zurich were sold this Thursday on the Ticketcorner platforms. And it only took 30 minutes for that. As a reminder, the concerts will be played at the Letzigrund stadium on July 9 and 10, 2024.

Obstacle course

You had to be damn motivated to get the precious sesame. The registration procedure required pre-registration on the site last June. An access code was then issued to have the possibility of participating in the presale. The rule was clear: “first come, first served”.

For the French dates of the 33-year-old singer, the demand was such that the Ticketmaster platform had to temporarily suspend sales. A million Internet users drawn at random had found themselves having to wait in the virtual waiting room of the retailer. Bugs had appeared and some fans had expressed their anger on Twitter.

In Switzerland, the sale seems to have gone off without a hitch. There are disappointed, but no avalanche of nervous breakdowns on social networks.

On the other hand, there are smart guys, who have obtained tickets and hastened to offer them for resale, sometimes at double their initial price, which was already not cheap. The official prices for a ticket started at 160.50 fr. and ranged up to 279.95 fr. For VIP packages, it was necessary to count between 338.60 fr. and 816.05 francs.
