A man and a woman in their fifties were found dead, shot dead, in Roppentzwiller, in the Haut-Rhin. The findings are in progress to find out if it is a homicide followed by a suicide or a double homicide.
A man and a woman were found killed by firearm, in troubled circumstances, in Roppentzwiller in the Haut-Rhin, according to an AFP dispatch of May 25.
The man and the woman were found dead, in their house, rue Principale, in Roppentzwiller, indicate the firefighters of SIS 68, contacted by France3 Alsace. They were called Thursday morning at 8:43 a.m.
They discovered on the spot the body of a 50-year-old woman, on the stairs leading to the first floor and on the first floor, a 55-year-old man, also dead. Both people were shot and killed.

“I don’t believe in suicide at all.” said this Friday morning a neighbor of the couple found dead. He explains that he repeatedly heard loud voices between the woman and her ex-husband, when he was bringing the girl back.
According to a source familiar with the matter, the ex-husband would be in custody. He would be a policeman in a police station near Mulhouse.
Solicited by France3 Alsace, the prosecutor of the Republic of Mulhouse, Edwige Roux-Morizot, did not wish to communicate for the moment.
Roppentzwiller is a village in Sundgau (southern Alsace), located about twenty kilometers from the Swiss border. It has about 700 inhabitants.
