This Thursday, January 23, the surroundings of Place Bell are closed to traffic due to shots fired last night.
The call was launched at 911 this morning, shortly after 6:30 am, by a citizen who reported the presence of bullet impacts on the storefront of the Gatto Matto restaurant, located on rue Claude-Gagné, in downtown Laval, in the Laval-des-Rapid district.
The Laval Police Service (SPL) claims that the gunshots would have been fired overnight, while the restaurant was empty. There is therefore no victim.
An investigation is underway to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the event. The scene will be analyzed by the squad of judicial identity.
The last episode of shot directed towards a restaurant on Laval floor dates back to June 2024.
