This Saturday, January 25, at 8:30 p.m., ScénOgraph invites you to the rural center (l'Uxello cinema) in Vayrac to discover the jazz group Flash Pig and attend a concert of magnificent sensitivity inspired by the film “In the Mood for Love”, about this story of love with no future.
After “Le plus longue possible” published in 2022, which earned them a “coup de coeur” from the Académie Charles Cros but also the title of “Group of the year” according to the editorial staff of Jazz News and Jazz Magazine, the Flash Pig musicians have chosen, as the central theme of their new record, a story of love and imagination: “In the Mood for Love”, a masterpiece by director Wong Kar Wai. This new project, burning and mastered, the fifth in fifteen years of existence of the quartet, allows us to appreciate musicians who have reached maturity together, capable like few others of expressing complex and nuanced emotions with a jazz idiom.
The dialogue with cinema opens up delightful possibilities for our imagination, which take this precious group forward even further for French and European jazz.
Flash Pig is made up of Adrien Sanchez, tenor sax; Maxime Sanchez, piano; Florent Nisse, double bass; Gautier Garrigue, drums.
-This concert is organized in partnership with Souillac en jazz. Duration 1 hour 30 minutes. Prices: €8 to €16
Ticket sales this Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday day of the performance from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
