A trucker falls asleep and finds himself against the highway 20

A trucker fell asleep at the wheel on the highway and found himself in the wrong way on Thursday morning in Montérégie.

Around 8 am, the police were called upon to go to Highway 20, in the corner of Saint-Liboire, concerning a semi-trailer which was opposite the road, said the spokesperson for the security Quebec Louis-Philippe Ruel.

Arrived at the scene, the authorities discovered a sleeping man while driving. He would have changed his way during his drowsiness, it was said.

Fortunately, the incident did not cause any accident.

The individual was escorted in order to drive in the right direction of the highway, said the SQ.

A report of offense was also given to the driver.
