two men indicted in the investigation into the assassination of “Little Léo”

The investigation into the assassination of Léo Guillemain, alias “Little Léo”, is progressing rapidly. Thursday January 23, 2025, almost five months after the discovery of the body of the 40-year-old man in the trunk of his car on a road between Thouars and Parthenay, two men were indicted by an investigating judge from Poitiers , according to several sources close to the matter.

Police custody lifted

Two days earlier, Tuesday January 21, several people were arrested and taken into custody in this case by men from the Poitiers research section. Police custody lifted for some of them, notably a young woman, suspected of having had a minor role in the affair.

Remember that the body of “Little Léo” was discovered on the side of a road near the town of Louin, on September 2, in the trunk of his car, which was itself charred. Almost at the same time, the house of the forty-year-old, located in Retail, 35 km away, was found burned.

A judicial investigation for murder and destruction by dangerous means was opened a few days later by the criminal department of the Poitiers public prosecutor's office. The public prosecutor of Poitiers, Cyril Lacombe announced that he will communicate on this case during the day of January 23.
